Community Education and Training
Beyond its affiliated academic programs, the Center regards community education and training as important to its mission. The Center has provided technical assistance to a variety of groups on the international, national, state, and local levels on disability law and policy, advocacy, and many other issues concerning people with disabilities. The Center also sponsors community forums presented by leaders in education, law, human services, and the humanities. Through these forums as well as conferences, symposia, and invited speakers, the Center provides a forum for sharing knowledge. Advanced training via web-based modules, web casts and other technology is currently under development and will be available in the future.
