clinic experiences, students examine a range of current and past issues confronting people with disabilities, including:

• deinstitutionalization and community integration
• current trends and controversies
• national and international disability law and policy
• advocacy and self-advocacy
• the sociology of disability
• community and family support services
• media images of disability
• gender and disability
